Buffed the stocks this morning using a 180-grit pad and then rubbed in the oil with the grain. Boy, this wood really soaks it in. I'm pleased with the match now of the forearm and butt stock.
Getting there. Going to work with 220, 320 and then 400-grit wet each and then follow it up with a coat each. This is just an oil finish.

My grandson, Noah, is chanting "deer hunting!"

Looking forward to hearing and seeing how this treatment turns out, now that I have one I can see I think the wood could look a lot better with a different finish on it.
