Not that I can tell. The only thing I saw was H.L. stamped on the throat between the plate and the slide.

I had a couple similar construction drills and one of the half metal half plastic ones that followed them in the early 90s.Reese-Mo wrote:Well you CAN get the quality. Just buy used!
In my case they were more than well worn and I ended up replacing them over the course of a decade or so.
Common problem with used equipment is it has seen multiple owners and been abused by some of them.
Common problem with new equipment is it tends to be manufactured with nylon gears or bearings or made in China with pot metal zinc alloys instead of steel.
