I'm trying to remove the safety from a 92 and the pin seems to be very stubborn. Can anyone recommend a decent punch set under 50.00
The one I had from harbor freight bends under very light pressure.
Recommend a good punch set please

Got some yesterday as a gift. Will advise later once I try them.

I find Lyman's set useful.

Re: Recommend a good punch set please
I've got Grace roll pin punches and roll pin setting punches. These replace a smaller set of Lyman roll pin punches I've had for 5 or 10 years.
I've had a pretty good Craftsman set of general drift punches with center punches and nail setters for a couple decades for other applications that still works well.
Brownell's branded stuff is generally pretty good.
I've got both the short/normal and extra long sets of Harbor Freight punches. The extra long ones are two piece. Work ok until the bond between the pieces lets loose and then they're done. The short ones are ok for what they are but they aren't long enough to do much more than start moving pins. Something about halfway between the two that's one piece would be pretty good.

I wound up ordering a set of Teton punches bases on a ton of reviews.
