It is. The took Lee Enfield SMLE No. 4 MkIs and remanufactured them into 45-70 Govt big game rifles. It is the Summit on this page: http://www.gibbsrifle.com/sport_speciality_.htmlGasGuzzler wrote:Explain

It is actually rare to see one listed. It is without the scope mount but you probably could find one.

They weren't exactly common (at least in .45-70) when they were a catalogued item.
More like that Sears Wishbook toy that didn't make it to production before Christmas but got the prototype into the catalog.
I did see a FEW of the Jungle Carbine rigs over the years in .308.

Looks like Cabela's has the Long Ranger 308 Win available but at $950 plus 8.25% Texas Sales Tax, I'm gon'na pass. Bummer!Ranch Dog wrote:I decided to contact Henry about the Long Ranger and I received an immediate reply. The 308 Win will be the first out of the factory and should be at dealers by mid-summer!
A local shop has the BLR Lightweight at the same price and our local sales tax is 6.50% so it is a bit cheaper.

Re: Henry is doing it up!
Yeah, perfect. No paying for unnecessary services. Misspoke above, it is 6.25%, just the State Tax.GasGuzzler wrote:You know you live in the sticks when sales tax is 6%
