Great I had a .458 sizer die made for me by Rick Tunell as wells as a powder compressor for my 12 ga shot shells using the RCBS cowboy dies. Thanks for recommending him to me. He does some really nice work for a good price. I have a bunch of 405 gr bullets in 45-70 that are .459 that I want to take down then.Ranch Dog wrote:I'm shooting mine with. 458 bullets and the performance is outstanding.

454 Casull ?Ranch Dog wrote:Thought I would add a post with the slugged diameters of the Rossi's I own. I will need to add to this as I have time because I will be reslugging them all. Please feel free to add your measurements. As a standard, a lead teardrop fishing sinker with a hole through the longitudinal axis should be used. The measurement should be taken with a micrometer to .XXX5", a caliper should not be used.
Diameters used in this list are display "bore/groove", measured in inches.

Yeah, I need to add that! Same as the 45 Colt - 4430/.4510. The current Rossi and Taurus product line has very good barrels.pricedo wrote:454 Casull ?
I expect that all the post CNC tool-up (Brazilian factory) Rossi 92s are close to spec.Ranch Dog wrote:Yeah, I need to add that! Same as the 45 Colt - 4430/.4510. The current Rossi and Taurus product line has very good barrels.pricedo wrote:454 Casull ?
Rossi is doing it exactly like they are supposed to rather than taking off on their own. One reason I like the outfit! From the SAAMI drawing references...massmanute wrote:It's interesting that the .357 slugged at .3550.
Maybe this has already been commented on in the thread(?), but .3550 looks to me more like a standard 9mm. Any thought? Could Rossi be boring their .357 to a 9mm standard instead of .357 standard?
