Back to the original question. Red dots don't magnify and offer minimal improvement over iron sights. A scope picks up the light, the larger the objective lens is better ie 50 mm better than 40mm

I'm starting to feel like I'm giving free advertising to Skinner but he also offers a rear peep for the single shots.
