Tuffy

I've had three rattlesnake encounters in less than 24 hours, probably due to the heavy ground cover, heavy rainfall, and lack of feral hogs. I decided I needed a Tuffy. Rossi stopped production but I found one with the nickel finish online but nearby. Another Rossi joins the RD lineup!

Nice concept gun , doesn't it have cartridge storage in the stock? I had a Cz scout all metal I've and under 22/410 with storage. You could remove the pin and store it in 2 small pieces. Only drawback was unconventional trigger.
Too bad they cancelled production of the Tuffy.
Good call for the rattlers.

I bought my dad a Savage 42, but all I wanted is the 410 as I refuse to buy 22 RF ammo. The Tuffy stores 4 shotshells in a in stock shell holder.

I was looking for a NIB Tuffy. I made a deal on one for $166, a blued version, but when the dealer opened the box it was a just a youth shotgun. Overnight, SWFA listed the nickeled version on Gunbroker $180 so I bought it. Just tired of fooling around looking for one and I like the nickel finish. When they were available, they were about $50 less but I wasn't looking then.

I have an H&R version. It's a great little pest control/pack around the farm gun. I've terminated several coons, possums that were invading my chicken coop: a couple feral cats that wanted to pick a fight with my aging cat, many squirrels of opportunity and one 74" rat snake in the coop. I even took it quail hunting once(score-- one quail in 17 shots haha).

If you want a challenge, try shooting it like a pistol at clay pigeons. haha

If there's a night time critter in my yard the needs dispatching, it the first gun I grab.

I'll post pic of my modifications, tomorrow.

410 is a must have for a landowner. I grew up on a ranch in East Texas. We used my moms old Shinkosha 410 more than anything else.
