Hello folks!
I have a chance to trade for a Rossi matched pair 243/410.
What can I expect for accuracy out of the 243?
Also what LOP is the youth rifle?
Thanks so much.

Re: Rossi 243/.410 accuracy
Welcome to the forum. My neighbor, who is small framed, has hunted with a Rossi Youth 243 Win for a long time. I've seen the targets he has shot on my range and they unacceptable by any means. He kills deer and hogs with it and has not had any light primer strikes that seem to affect some of the Rossi Single Shots.rong wrote:Hello folks!

You need to check the twist on the 243 barrel. I think Rossi may have used 1 in 12 inches which would favor the lighter bully's iup to 80 grains. In order for best accuracy with heavy bullets you probably want 1 in 12" twist.

My Wizard 243 barrel is not happy with anything heavier than 90 grains. So far that is as I still need more range time with it.
Curt... makin' smoke and raising my carbon foot print one cartridge at a time
