I've got canister powders of every description and boxes upon boxes of every brand of bullet in just about every caliber but haven't loaded a round in about 5 years.Tuco Ramirez wrote:That is a good thing to see. I am still stocking up on reloading supplies.

Like I forgot how to breathe, swim or ride a bike.donhuff wrote:Lazy azz!

I loaded more ammo in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s than any 10 typical reloaders will reload in a lifetime.
I've got brands of presses and dies in the shop that aren't even made anymore.
I was loading for others as well as myself way back when.
Friend of dads needed 401 SL ammo for a Win 1910 he hunted deer with....... I was his only source of ammo for 20 years. He passed away a few years ago God rest his soul.
When store bought ammo caught up to handloads in quality & selection and as the bank account & investments grew I got lazy and now 95% of my shooting is done with factory ammo.
I don't worry about getting 5-shot grape cluster groups @ 100 yards or a 1/2 MOA change in group size in a hunting gun like a M92 when for 95% of the game I shoot the POI is less than 50 yards away from the muzzle.......to me that's like trying to bottle a sunbeam ............a lot of effort for absolutely no change in the meat freezer..........to everybody their own.

Re: boys n girls start looking into your bulk ammo prices!
I can relate to having components but not having loaded in a while.
I've got a lot of loading to do also. I think I've got brass prepped for about 3K handgun rounds and need to prep and load another couple K short rounds, a K or so of -06, 08, 30 carb, and maybe a couple K of 5.56 on top of that. Running up on a K or so of match 06 and 08 last year for standard bulk ammo prices probably ain't going to happen any time in the near or far future again.
The local shop I hang around has gotten in .38 SP, .45-70, .22 LR and most common rifle and pistol calibers in recently.
Still no signs of .45 Colt and people have been asking for it for months.
Word from the Shot Show last month was if you see powder for sale that you want this year you might ought to buy it as the powder manufacturers are pretty well booked solid for the expected production.

Re: boys n girls start looking into your bulk ammo prices!
Production is amped up no doubt but centerfire is becomeing more available online and localy. I dont know if it will ever become the way it used to be for rimfire and prices this may be the new normal. I just thought that we could have thread to help our people find deals and G.D is a place you can postem and it will keep it active until it is flagged out of stock or incorrect.
