You are going to need pants with a bigger waistband to carry that IWB.

Re: 45-70 BFR
I was thinking maybe an ankle holster? that way the grips should just clear the waistband......

Re: 45-70 BFR
That revolver looks like the Freedom Arms revolver which was the first to come out in 454 Casull.
Anybody who thinks a 92 in 44 Mag kicks too hard shouldn't get within a country mile of this beast.
The 7.5" bbl version weighs 4.3 pounds (empty) which is probably a good thing considering the power level.
It's quite expensive.........a little over a grand but a lot cheaper than the Freedom Arms revolver.
Comes in a variety of calibers including 450 Marlin & 500 S&W........WOW !
Nice looking wheel gun though.
Like I said in a previous thread .........shooting is supposed to be fun ........not painful & self injurious.

Re: 45-70 BFR
My comment may be a little dated, but I got my BFR .45-70, w/ 7.5" barrel, back in October. It's a BEAST/BLAST to shoot! The Winchester Super X 405 grain Cowboy loads come out of it like butter. Remington, Fusion & Winchester Super X 300 grain loads give a pretty fun kick that is fairly manageable. The Hornady 325 grain FTX rounds kick hard enough that it ALMOST takes the fun out of pulling the trigger. I said "ALMOST"! I put the Pachmayr grip for the Ruger Super Blackhawk on mine and it fit just fine. Really smoothes out the "bumps".
The BFR is an attention-getter at the range, that's for sure! If you decide to shell out for one, just hang on and ejoy the ride!
One well-placed round is worth 20 spray-and-pray.

Re: 45-70 BFR
I was in a gun shop the other day, and told the guy behind the counter I wanted to bring a revolver in for fitting on a pancake holster. He said, "Sure!" I came back in the store with my 7.5 inch BFR! He got a big kick out of it. (pun) found one for my Springfield Armory XD Tactical instead

Re: 45-70 BFR
I had a customer who had one of these, in his saddle bag on his Harley, Thought I'd never see another one.
Don't ask me to do anything where where I can't take Bible and Gun, I would leave Dog home, but reluctantly.

Re: 45-70 BFR
Apparently .45-70 from a revolver recoils noticeably less than .454.
.454 from a rifle recoils noticeably less than .45-70.
Powder burn rates are cool.
