All JMs or a mix of JMs & REPs (Remlins) ?Dan 444 wrote:23 leverguns.....all Marlins, at this point.
Dan
Just wondered if you had both & if you do is there in your opinion an appreciable difference in quality?

Re: How many guns do you own?
All are JM's. The newest is a 444S manufactured in 2004. The oldest is 32 Win Spl manufactured in 1952.pricedo wrote:All JMs or a mix of JMs & REPs (Remlins) ?Dan 444 wrote:23 leverguns.....all Marlins, at this point.

Re: How many guns do you own?
Get a Rossi or 2 or 3 or 4.
Had my Rossi Rio Grande in .30-30 WCF out on the range yesterday.
The most accurate and smoothest levergun I've ever held in my hands.
More accurate than most of my bolt actions.
It really likes the Hornady 160 grain FTX ammo.
It has a little cheapie Bushnell Trophy 1.75-4x32mm scope on it.

Re: How many guns do you own?
RD and pricedo,
I'm thinking about it and following the knowledgeable threads here. I'm so darn busy at work, I just don't have any energy left to do much reloading or shooting. I have a couple of Marlins (Marlin 375 & 336ER) that I haven't even done any casting (got the RD molds & LSK's) or load development for yet. Had them for 3 years now; the 375 is NIB and I bought the 336ER new and only put a box of factory ammo through it the week that I bought it. At just turning 61 years old, it's getting tougher to put in 12 hour days and then try to get things done. I work for a well known jet engine manufacturer in Connecticut and ramped-up engine volumes and new product introductions are challenging right now. I look forward to retirement late next year, which will allow me time to immerse in my levergun passion.
I really like the idea of a light carry levergun, like what I'm hearing here about Rossi's; so, I'm sure that some Rossi's are in my future.
Best,
Dan

Interesting update Dan. I'm thinking about three years left before retirement myself, good luck.Dan 444 wrote:RD and pricedo,

Re: How many guns do you own?
Dad was an engineer and a manager and was generally a very busy individual but I recall him saying many times, "Make sure you make the time to do the things in life you really enjoy doing because YOU'RE GOING TO BE A LONG TIME DEAD". I value what I call MY TIME and guard every minute of it jealously.........no employer or client gets to steal a chunk of it.
It's what makes life worth living.
Looked at my birth certificate and didn't see a space for a renewal stamp on the back.
My personal time is my time.
When it's time to work I work and when it's my time I grab the guns and go shooting or hunting come hell or high water.
