Hello all, I have an old 726c in 38 sp. 4", adj. sights. I have done multiple searches on this thing called the web and have not been able to find any info about this model. Have any of you any info on this model?
The Taurus logo is unique to the others I have seen the bulls horns go straight out both sides and then turn down slightly like a yearling Steer. The logo has Taurus stamped around the top and Brazil stamped around the bottom.
I will attempt to post a photo later,
Thank you,
Screwbolts

Re: Old Taurus revolver
FWIW I have a 617 Titanium (7 shot 357, 2" barrel) which has proven to be an excellent little revolver.

This might help, too:

Looks like a typical problem with older Taurus revolvers. I have a 44 spl L frame clone that’s one of my favorites.
Welcome aboard!

Re: Old Taurus revolver
Since Taurus owned Rossi for a short time and made some of the "later early" Rossi revolvers but the best Rossi handguns were made before the merger. I am not sure if the people here that like Rossis are Taurus fans enough to know about the old ones. I'd bet joining the TaurusArmed forum linked above would be the best idea. That one post has more data regarding Taurus handguns than I've ever seen in one place. I had a sweet J-copy Rossi that was a gift stolen from my truck and never recovered...

Thank you for all the great information and links!
This is what I have on this old Taurus: 1949-1973 - Around the bull head (Hereford), words Taurus and Brasil has the same size and type of letter.
I also have coil for mainspring and front frame mounter adjusting screw: Mainspring: Flat up to 1960, coil type after that year.
GasGuzzler,
I also have one of those old, Rossi - 841, from, CAI, also acquired off GB that will be another post.
