I'm curious how that worked out for you. I have a new RP63 and am looking to lighten the crazy-stiff trigger pull. I ordered a set of the Wolfe springs for Taurus and am curious what I will find when they show up.

Polishing the sliding parts in the DA trigger makes the most difference. I used my polishing wheels after I wet sanded with 400 on a glass pane. Good cleaning then a film of grease along with minor adjustments to spring pressure will get it right.

Re: RP63 revolver bad rossi service
For the benefit of anyone who finds this thread. I tried the Wolff Springs replacement springs (main and trigger springs) for the Taurus 73/85/605.
The 9lb MAIN spring is about the same size and seems to perhaps lighten the trigger pull by a very small amount. I don't have a trigger gage so don't know for certain whether it is my imagination or by how much. I have not tried it at the range but the hammer seems to drop at the same rate as before so I suspect it won't have light strike problems.
The 9lb TRIGGER RETURN spring lightens to trigger pull far too much. It is so light that it doesn't return the trigger back to firing position automatically so I had to return to the original trigger spring.

Re: RP63 revolver bad rossi service
Not sure if your Rossi is the same/similar internally to mine from the '80's that was a direct copy of a S&W but here's the guy I deburred and HIGHLY polished. That and minor spring adjustments took mine from 14/8 to 8/4 double action/single action on my trigger scale.

RedHead wrote: ↑02 Aug 2024 13:27 I received the spring order that I placed with Wolf and one of the springs is very close to the same size of the original. They are for a Taurus revolver and the one spring is a 9 lb spring. It fit perfectly and now I have a revolver that I can pull the trigger. It is slightly less strong than the original since I can pull the trigger. It's very much like a new Ruger or Smith revolver trigger. I'll see if I get light strikes when I take it to the armory for some fun.
So, RedHead, were you ever able to get that Rossi revolver running satisfactorily ?

Yes I took it to the armory and it shot perfectly, 2 or 3 cylinders full. Now why doesn't Rossi put in the slightly weaker spring?? would solve a LOT of problems / complaints. But, with all the runaround rossi customer service gave me I'll never buy another rossi or Taurus gun again.

Re: RP63 revolver bad rossi service
I took it to the armory and shot 3 revolver loads with no light strikes, so I think I have the right spring. Thanks guys for all the info.
