I purchased the new Rossi R95 about two months ago. I have not shot it after the first outing and sight in (also after making it my style rifle for fit and sights). Took it out again today, let me tell you this rifle is just perfect. It is the smoothest action. I know everyone say's that, but I have been shooting the 1886 in 45/70 and that action is not smooth. I also put a Marlin 1895 in layaway last weekend in 30/30 also (made in 2001 JM Stamped) so felt like shooting the Rossi again today. Just a great handling and shooting rifle. That action, it just flows when levering. If I did not already own a Rio Grande in 45/70 I would be looking for that caliber in this model.
So if you are on the fence with the Rossi R95 don't be. Great rifle.
