Since modding to take the nifty 856 grip...
It looked a bit over balanced and didn't fit my 856 holster. (The RP63 stuck out the bottom and the front sight would catch on the draw.
So....shortened and profiled the barrel to 2 7/16 inches, saving all the markings.
Reprofiled the Ameriglo orange/tritium to face up a bit and catch the light better. Made room in the bottom of the original sight slot for the now smaller foot of the Ameriglo.
Gave the muzzle a recessed 11 degree crown as the factory profile has no crown at all.

Shot both today. Rp63 with it's barrel now bobbed to 2.4 inches and the King Cobra.
I really like both with a nod to the Colt, because it's a Colt.
The now RP62.4 carries and balances better and has the lighter DA trigger pull, plenty smooth and easier to point.
The King Cobra feels smoother and has a much more visible fiber optic sight but does not point or balance as well as the Rossi.
At 7 to 10 yds both easily ring the 4x6 steel with doubles and it's easy to break clays and all the chunks quickly and easily.
Overall, really happy with both.
