Online source for Primers?
Online source for Primers?
Hi gang. Does anyone have a source for small pistol primers? I can't find any online and my local stores have been out for over a year. Thanks.

Welcome to life under the Democrat Socialist Party.
EVERY time they have won control of the government since Clinton reloading supplies have dried up.
The ammunition manufacturers are mostly still putting their primers into their ammo.
What little trickles out into the market is snapped up as soon as it reaches the shelves if not sooner.

While at the NRA Convention in Houston a month or so ago, the CCI told me it would be a year to get to the point that reloaders will start seeing them again. My reloading forum, Lee Loader, has ground to a stop.

Last couple bricks I saw on line were running between $85 and $125.mr surveyor wrote:Archer wrote:Welcome to life under the Democrat Socialist Party.

Figure 300% to 500% increase.
I haven't been by any reloader forums so outside a couple boards on firearms forums I haven't heard much.Ranch Dog wrote:While at the NRA Convention in Houston a month or so ago, the CCI told me it would be a year to get to the point that reloaders will start seeing them again. Are people still offering their special 'internet friends' primers at $.25 Each?

Might try here ... iffin' ya got some stomach for it. I've ordered primers because I need & wanted some. Price high, delivery quick & free, no xtra haz-mat fee. Inventory gets renewed, so keep watch.

I paid $140 for 5K shipped the last time I bought any and that wasn't very long ago.
At the link above they are $599.

Would you care to share the link to the primers for that or similar price ? That is about the last price I saw for on the shelf primers at Sportsmans Warehouse - before our current state of affairs. The places that pop up online that offer primers at these prices are the ones that want you to pay in crypto currency - scams.GasGuzzler wrote:I paid $140 for 5K shipped the last time I bought any and that wasn't very long ago.

Would be a great public service ...

"Not that long ago" means within the last five years. You won't find anyone selling them for $150/5K now.

Re: Online source for Primers?
I’ve been looking for large rifle primers since just before the pandemic, with no luck. Currently lurking internet auctions with local pickup. Trouble is, most are lots of 3 - 4k, and I just don’t need that many.btoran wrote:Hi gang. Does anyone have a source for small pistol primers?
