.22 LR IS coming back. It can be found but it hasn't gotten cheap and it still isn't daily Walmart fare.

I carry a ruger single six 22 conversion.
Both a 5.5" and 9.5"
I made this shoulder rig and it carries real nice and out of the way.
Here is the 5.5"

Nice, and I bet that 9.5 inch barrel really helps it shoot very accurately to.

Re: Wanting a .22 cal revolver
Thank you AK.
AK i will tell you, When I got this pistol, I cleaned it up and took it out back with a box of federal bulk 22lr.
after a few adjustments, I was hanging soda pop cans on low lying tree limbs, then started pacing it off.
I was at least 65 plus yards away, I stopped when i started having trouble seeing the pop cans.
I was knocking those pop cans with ease.
Those 22 rds were screaming out of that 9.5" barrel.
not tried 22 mag yet, really no need to, but the extra cylinder is there.
was reading on another forum were a guy was killing groundhogs at 120 yards.
with 22 mag it has more velocity then a 22lr rifle.
it is like carrying a 22 rifle under your arm.
forget where i found this chart.
I feel like a movie star when i shoot it.

Re: Wanting a .22 cal revolver
I have videos somewhere of me shooting my Old Model Single Six with both CB Shorts and 40gr WMR. It's quite different. Mines only 5.5" with drift sights.
BTW, mine is more accurate with LR than WMR and at short distances (less than 10 yards) more accurate with shorts than LR for me.

Re: Wanting a .22 cal revolver
They are very capable guns my single six is pretty plain, but she can shoot. I have her set at 12 o'clock sight picture at 10 yards then I use a 6 o'clock sight picture to get out further. It's served me well. Though I don't regularly push it very far.
