Hi all
Hi all
New here but not to levers or cast. I sold a puma 44 a ew years back and just ordered a 16" 92. It should be in next week and I look forward to playing with it. I have 18 38 cal molds from 105 gr to 280 gr and hope that I can find a good load from 150-215 gr with this gun. It should be the perfect river bottom companion.

Wow! A 280gr 357 bullet! What kind of velocities where you able to get with it?

Re: Hi all
Glad to have you...I posted a welcome earlier but it didn't show up for some reason...this forum has one of the best environments I have seen anywhere...it's easy to navigate, has some really knowlegable and helpful people, with only maybe a grouch or two... and RD does a great job of keeping it clean and respectful.
By the way, I'm pretty new myself although I doubt a single post has escaped my viewing...

Re: Hi all
About 2500 fps out of the 35 Whelen. I also have 35 cal rifles in 357 max [Handi rechamber] and 358 Win with a used to own 356 Win. Thanks guys this seems like a knowledgeable niche group. I hope that it can continue to grow.Quinc wrote:Wow! A 280gr 357 bullet! What kind of velocities where you able to get with it?
