Re: Puma 92 .357 Mag
I'll second the idea.
I think I got a steal on my last Rossi and the previous couple were not overly expensive and they all three work great.
I did see a Uberti .357 1873 Rifle this afternoon that was SWEET but I'm not certain it was $2000 sweet in spite of the VELLY NICE checkered wood stock and forearm (looked like the stock was possibly 3 pieces laminated together with nice matching nearly seamless grain in a dark walnut with just a hint of red tone), leather cuff and lever cover, case hardened receiver with blued dust cover, octagonal barrel and short stroke kit installed on it and an action that was slicker than snot.
For a gun that is obviously going to end up as a competition powder puffer it was extremely nice.
I can't however help wondering if full bore .357 Mag may be at the ragged edge of what this design may be good for. I know Winchester has recently come out with one so I can assume it can be made to do the job but I wonder if the Uberti which is I assume extremely close to the original blueprints is up for the caliber.
