New to the Rossi brand, I just acquired a spankin' new Rio Grande, wood and blued, in 30-30 Winchester. It was love at first sight. I have wanted a lever gun since I was 16 and never got around to acquiring one until now, after owning an AK, an M1A, various 8mm Mausers, shotguns and pistols. I traded a mint Glock 23 even Steven for the new Rio. Went into the shop intending on a straight sale and he had the Rio up on the rack...mind you I had intended on taking the cash from the Glock to buy a used Marlin, but when I saw and felt the Rio in my hands it was 30 seconds to a new firearms relationship. I was out the door in 10 minutes and couldn't be happier. I can't wait to fire her! Also looking forward to ditching the scope base and buckhorns for some custom sights. I am impressed with the fit and finish of this rifle vs. a Marlin and have no doubt I will keep this beautiful rifle in the family for quite some time.
