Rossi .17 HMR

Just found forum and thought I'd jump in here. So Howdy folks! I looked through the single shot forum and didn't see anything on this rifle I picked up a few weeks ago. It was butt ugly when I found it. It looked like it had several hundred rounds put through it, dipped it in oil and set it a corner for years........It was nasty to say the least. It must be a fairly rare model since I could only find a couple on line that had been sold a few years back. I do know it was manufactured in 2005.
It's a .17 HMR stainless 23" heavy barrel. It had a small Bushnell scope on it. I did a complete tear down, cleaning and lube. I striped the stock and forearm and refinished it in a dark gunstock stain, it had a light almost blonde finish on it. Then added a Nikon scope. Took a scotch brite pad to the stainless and buffed it out to a nice satin finish. Turned out really nice. I will admit I am not a Rossi fan but I'm pretty impressed with this little rifle, it will shoot quarter sized groups at 50 yards with no problem. Have shot 50 rounds of CCI varmint thru it without a hiccup.
Anyone have one or have info on this little rifle. I tried to post a pic but it keeps telling me file is to large to load.......so sorry no pics.
