Here are a few more to show what the worst of the surface "frosted corrosion" looks like when it has been cleaned up. I will work on it some more at some point, but don't plan on a reblue, just working more oil into it as I use it.

I redid an old Stevens .22 and a Marlin 75C that looked about like that metal-wise. I have not tried to move the 75C yet but I sold the Stevens for $140!! .... I only had $100 in it and it was a vendor at a small and useless gun show that gave me so much.

First shooting report with my new/old 1950 336 Marlin, after tossing 200-grain pills downrange!

She shoots GREAT. The bore is amazingly new-looking.

She broke her ejector spring - or maybe it was "almost broken" and it went ahead and snapped. No matter! She knows how to fire single-shot style. Consider it another little thing to cure. But even with a non-levering, non-ejecting lever action, it was a fun shoot! I was using .35 Rem 200 grain JSP reloads from a buddy on another forum, and some factory Federal .35 Rem too.

I also had a chance to plug away with my new .38 special Badman Bullet reloads I made up, they worked great in the Ruger Security Six but would only cycle single-shot in the Rossi 92 carbine. Yep, mine loves .357 Magnum cases all day long, and just laughs at me when I even say the words ".38 Special" nearby.

That's OK, since I had a couple boxes of Sellier & Bellot .357 JSP and Fiocchi FMJ/RN which my Rossi loves to shoot.
I just gotta remember to make up a batch of .357 cases with the 158 grain Badman Bullets and quit messing around with the .38!

OK have a great weekend, all. Got to take the bug-out vehicle to where I shoot, kinda showed it off to the gun crowd at the WMA. Fun times!

Oh my! That's not good!

Looking for a new ejector and spring set for a 336A. I did see on Numrich they have them in stock for 14 or 15 dollars - that's for the spring and ejector together.

Is this a good deal? Seems fine to me. Just wanted to ask before I ordered one.

That's probably as good as it gets as it may be the only source. I haven't had to go looking for parts for either of mine so not sure what maybe out there for 336 parts.
