The NIB Octagons make more sense though, theyre discontinued so a price closer to $600 isnt unreasonable i feel

But yes, anytging much over $500 for a round bbl in the usual 3 calibers is pushing it

I am liking this SBR mares leg by iraq vet 8888.

take around $1000 to make it happen.
tax stamp $200 I believe, then buy mares leg and the full stock.
rather have rossi, but sometimes you go with what you can get.

I just talked to Mark at Summit Gun Broker who tells me he still has a few 20" 45 Colts and 44 Mags for $445. They should be roughly the same vintage as mine and it has turned out to be the best Rossi of 3 I've owned over 10 years.

I wonder how the quality of these are? I know when I was buying -about 4-5 years ago...it was not wise to buy a Rossi sight unseen...mag tubes not fully installed ill-fitting wood, barrel bands on way too tight, canted sights, etc...

Is that still how the Braztech's are?

I would say that the later rifles, rifles with known manufacture dates of '16 or later, from serial number lookup or now laser etched on the receiver, are well-built rifles. The complaints about these rifles here on the forum are low or non-existent.

Which would those be? If theyre some combination of 45, 44, or 357 with round barrels of either 20 or 16" length in stainless or blued finish its a near certainty short of the company folding

If theyre octagons, case colored, 24" barrels, or off calibers like 454 480 44-40 etc then i wouldnt hold my breath. This coming from someone who is foolishly waiting for new 454s round bbls or 357 octagons

Actually waiting/looking for a 357, 20", Octagon, Case-colored and a 44 16", saddle ring, large loop lever. The last one can probably be done up with aftermarket parts, but it's a bit spendy to do it that way.
