Halloo! the camp!

Nice to see a campfire devoted to what is one of the greatest values ever seen in firearms: the Rossi '92.
My username is Apples; my name is Chris. I'm in southern California, but, please don't hold that against me. California politics is horrifying, and it's politicians should be limited to two terms: one term in office, the next term in prison.
What warms my heart is a true friend, a good horse and an accurate rifle. I don't yet belong to the SASS but my most loved firearms are my SA wheelguns and my pistol-caliber carbines. Thanks for the coffee!

Thanks for the replies!
What's your caliber(s)?
.357 in a blued, 16" Rossi 92 and an 18" Marlin 1894CS.
The Rossi has been near-flawless, but had to stake some pins in the bolt. I slicked that one with a couple of Steve's tricks. The Marlin is a work in progress; I've done some Widdermatic stuff to it but it needs a wee bit more throat chamfer from 5 o'clock to 7... and it needs chamfer from 11 to 1 (a la Rossi) to feed everything. Once I begin building my own .357 and with proper roll crimps, it'll run even better. Beginning next year I'll start looking for a .357-chambered SAA clone or two. Might just be Vaqueros, or I'll go Italian...
.41 Mag in a 20" Marlin 1894 FG (and a 4-5/8" Old Model Blackhawk).
.44 Mag in a 20" Browning Miroku '92 (and a 7-1/2" Old Model Super plus two 5-1/2" New Models in .44 Spl)

Welcome from Western Kentucky! I did my time in SoCal back in the late 70's, lived east of S.D. back then. Beautiful scenery, ............ crappy politics!
