New sights for my R92 - Marble's Bullseye

Since my almost new .454 stainless 20" 92 had poor fitting sights, I have only fired it maybe 10-15 times.

In looking at a review of the 480 Ruger model 92, they show the sights as being fiber optic:

I haven't started looking yet but I would sure like to try a set of these on my rifle (I very much like fiber optic sights on other guns I own). Anybody know who might have these?

Thats Marbles Bullseye rear with one of their hi viz fiber optic fronts. Not sold as a set TMK but you can order from Midway or Brownells. The rears only like $20

Thanks, guys. now to decide on front sight height. It's between this one and a tang sight.

The sight set is on it's way. I'm anxious to see how they work. One thing I definitely want to do is fashion a vented hood for the front. I always want a hood for the front sight on my levers so I can lean the rifle in the corner without risk of damage to the front sight. All my other levers have them (Marlins).

I should be able to make one. I'll post what I finally end up doing.

Iv seen these sights before and recon they would work well. I also like the look of the tang sights you can mount to the stock, the extra sight radius is a bonus too!

The sights arrived the other day and I am in the process of installing. The sight set came with a strip of .004 adhesive backed shim stock in case the fit was too loose in the dovetails. The rear seemed to drift in pretty well but the front is way too loose.

I started by shimming the base of the front sight but that was a mistake, when drifting the sight in, it would pop out the top of the barrel dove tail. That is where I am at the moment and I'm going to experiment with fitting this morning.

I will post pictures once these are installed and ready for sighting on. I will also show a nifty method I use for bore sighting also.
