I've been using the Skinner Front Sight Blades with certain applications mainly replacing the various blades used on my bolt action scout rifles. Same price as the one that you are looking at but a bit higher so that you know you are covered and then I fit with file in hand. I also bought a white paint pen from him, lower on the page, and have used it more than I thought with a number of my front sights. Skinner will charge a flat $7.50 for shipping, I'm pretty sure Brownell's minimum is $7.95 per order.

Here is the Skinner Front Blade as setup on my Savage 10FCM 7.62x39 Scout.

Good call (see my edit on my previous post) on the Skinner. I like the sound of a .450" or .500" tall, 3/8" width in blue. Brass is tempting but there's nothing else brass on the gun and it might be hard to see in bright Texas sunlight.

Have you looked for the 66LA on eBay? I see a number of them.

Those old Marlins are fine rifles. If you have both pieces of that broken pin get the tip brazed back on. It will surprise you how long it will keep popping primers. Then that one can be a spare.
Down here in Peru I have seen all sorts of "home brewed" repairs that keep right on working very well. Have been shooting a Winchester model 92 44WCF 1907 vintage for 7 years now that has a "broken" firing pin. I would not recommend this as "home defense" issue but I am interested in how long it will keep on popping primers until the first failure.
When that happens the new one goes in and the two pieces get brazed.
