Whatcha think, are these deer or hog hoof prints?

They were just inside a secure fenced area.

I'm voting that they are deer hoof prints, mainly because I've never seen a hog jump a fence.

I think if you can get a picture of the stride distance by using something for scale of size like a 20 oz pop bottle. If I were to guess right now deer but only as I am no pork tracker.

never seen a pigs tracks but those look just like a deer's to me.
you are seeing the dew claws on the back of the leg make those other points.
in dirt you can see them clearly on a larger Buck's tracks because of his weight.

To clarify: A deer's "toes" will spread out under pressure in wet dirt, a pig's hooves won't change footprint with conditions.

Thanks GG, I was on mobile and not good at adding much with my phone.

A hog sinks in into damp soil pretty quick, any size hog, as there is not a lot of hoof area for the weight. It doesn't take a lot of moisture for them to just start making round holes in the ground.

I should learn to hunt. So far I kill squirrels for bounty and destroy inanimate objects.
