I just saw a post where someone was talking about a new 92 having a 4.5 lb pull... I got to thinking that the new-to-me (probably early '80s) 92 I just picked up felt pretty good. So I pulled out the old trigger scale and it hit right at 3 lb.
Which is more typical? Does it seem like mine might have had work? It looks like a closet queen and I doubt that it has been fired enough to have smoothed out that much (if 4.5 is typical new).
Inquiring minds want to know.
Thanks
Typical 92 trigger pull?

Re: Typical 92 trigger pull?
My old model was lighter than typical too. Now it's lighter than it was.

Re: Typical 92 trigger pull?
I am not certain I'm a great judge of trigger pull weights and rarely gage mine.
I do know however that my old Match Garand should be right about 4.5# because any less tends to be unsafe.
Since a Garand isn't exactly a lightweight hunting rifle and it IS a two stage trigger it doesn't feel half bad even at that weight.
