So what shotgun do you use for defense?
These are my go to I just recently put the Mossberg 500 together from another shotgun, and still have the field barrel and slug barrel and original mag tube. I can swap between them very easily. The Remington 870 is just the elcheapo parkerized tactical model. Worth its price I have other chokes as I don't like the breacher choke patterns like crap. It's on until I find what I did with other chokes. so what is yours simple elegant rusted or bulged. What you got?

Re: So what shotgun do you use for defense?
Remington 870 Police w/20" cylinder bore with rifle sights and extended magazine that I've just upgraded the furniture on it.
High Standard 12A 18" or 20" with full length mag tube. If I had to guess I'd say it was a former LEO weapon.
Remington 870 Express 28" hunting model with multiple chokes
Winchester 1897 take down w/ 30" barrel functional but with about zero finish and cracks in the forend.

Nothing fancy... Just a whitebread, but dependable old Mossberg 500 with the 18.5" barrel attached, and an aftermarket Blackhawk buttstock. Looks a lot like this one...

What i bought: http://www.mossberg.com/product/500-tac ... ock-54303/
What i should've bought: http://www.mossberg.com/product/500-tac ... ity-50359/
The 20g was too much recoil for my wife and the pistol grip hurt my carpal-tunnel addled wrist nevermind poor load variety for 20g vs 410 surprisingly means ive now got an almost new tactical 20g i have no idea how to get rid of

Greetings
Down here a mossy 12 with a 16" barrel and large German silver front sight blade. In Peru there is no limit on barrel length. Have considered wacking one right to the mag knob.

An oldie but a goodie from the 1920s.
Stevens 520 hump back. A John Browning design.
Pre trigger disconnect, it will slam fire, hold the trigger in and pump away!
Have an 18.5 and 28 in barrels.

870 with a 18.5 smooth bore slug barrel with open sights. Also have a 28" barrel for bird hunting. Need to take a deer with it some day with the slug barrel.
