d&t holes on right side

My 92 has drilled and tapped holes on the right side of the receiver. They don't go all the way through so I'm thinking something was mounted there. Any ideas?
I've mounted a Williams receiver sight on the right side of my M92.
Mine was mounted closer to the hammer ( as close as I could get to my eyes.)
The previous owner must (MAY) have done similarly.
No biggey.
