Alright. Well, Taurus or Rossi or Braztech or whoever now has the rifle as of Monday. Per the email they sent, it'll take 6 weeks. I guess now we wait.

Well, I have good news. My Ranch Hand came back today and it actually works!! Which is awesome. Bad news is, it came back with tons of scuffs and scrapes up and down the barrel band, forearm and stock. Not terribly happy about all that. But oh well. It's a working gun anyway. It'll go with me in the car and my 20" 92 stays by the bed. Just glad to have that over with.

Well, heck. At least it is back and working. Did the ticket offer any comments concerning the repair(s)?

They replaced the right side cartridge stop, mag tube, mag spring, carrier, ejector lever and spring and the broken lever.

Wow, that's a lot of stuff. Too bad a rifle with so many issues leaves the factory.

Oh, it had more than that. Some of them I fixed. Like the missing collar for the ejector lever spring and the roll pin for the safety lever.

MAKE SURE THE RIFLE IS UNLOADED AND CHAMBER IS EMPTY, then pull the mag tube and look in the front of the action with bolt closed. you shouldnt see but maybe the tip of the cartridge stop while it is closed.
Once the action is opened, you should see a good bit of it.
if you can see much more than this with bolt closed, you should take a file or dremel and shorten it a little.
