Welcome, and there is plenty of r92 and other rossi rifles out there to be the utility tool you need keep us posted to what you buy.

Welcome from another new guy. I just bought a Rossi R92, 45lc, and love this rifle.

'Worth too much' is relative...
Like the old saying, sometimes you get what you pay for but you always pay for what you get!
I'll admit new Winchester prices are pretty insane and that Remington often seems to forget how to make good guns making new Marlins (and often Remingtons) in good shape hard to get but Rossi's replacement part policy makes them a bit of a pain as well.
That said I'm a big fan of the 92 design and I'm not above picking up another or two.
I started looking at Marlin a bit late however. I might get around to getting another or two but like Winchester they are no longer the starter rifle we all had to have growing up in the woodlands.
