The 92 is a great little rifle. My wife calls it unassuming. I used the RD loads as a starting point for my 300 NOE bullet and wow! I had an 1 1/2" group at 75 yards with a 2x scope. That 1 1/2 could have been me with the the 2x. You can't even see the holes. I said that the rifle was a little rifle that's till you squeeze the trigger. YeHaw! +guns +guns The gun sure lets you know its there. I started using 4227, then H110 and for a fun/plinker used Universal and a 240g Lee TL bullet. Everything I shot was right on. I've never had a rifle shoot everything well, it was hard to pick my pet loads but I have them now. Only down side is I think I need to start saving for a 357/38 model. :D

Good to hear about another satisfied 92 customer. I love your wife's description as unassuming.

When I told my husband I wanted a plinking rifle with a larger caliber than my bolt action .22LR but with affordable ammo, he gave me a choice of a .223/.556 AR or bolt action, or a .357 lever action. The .223/.556 platforms felt like cold, soulless machines. The 92 felt like a trusted old friend, or perhaps unassuming. +1

Yep, the 16" 44 Magnum 92 is my favorite rifle. You can plink with it or hunt big game. It's easy to carry and looks good. It's also a lot of fun to shoot.

I have to put in my plug for .44 Spl. It feeds and shoots through the .44 Mag, and is much easier on the shoulder.

that is a great description. 223/556 semi autos are great work horses/get the job done rifles, but a lever gun.. Ah a lever gun is special.

The 92 rifle is like a kid that is unexpected, but once you have her and hold her and go to the range and play together you'll love her forever. +guns

You know, every time I shoot mine, I can't get over how great it is. I took my 13 year old twins (boy and girl) shooting today to get ready for hunters safety class. I had a 22LR Cricket and my Rossi 44 Mag with some light hand loads. I thought for sure that they would prefer the 22. I was wrong. They both wanted to shoot the Rossi over and over.

Yep the nostalgia to these cowboy guns are amazing. The fun factor is even better.
