Peep sights, thoughts suggestions?

I am wondering if the holes would not line up, or if a spacer, washer could be used on one of the mount locations to get it to fit. I was under the impression that, except for the front sight, the 336 and rio grand were basically copies. I am wondering if it would be worth ordering one to see if I could make an adapter or spacer somewhere to get it to fit. I was planning on modifying it anyway to make it only large enough to accomodate the scope in an attempt to not ruin the rifles looks too much.

I talked to XS a year ago and they said that their product would not fit the RG.

I'm sure a good "out of the box" thinking gunsmith/machinist could modify the XS sighting system to fit the RG or 92 for that matter.
Doesn't look that complicated for a person with the right tools & the skill to use them.
