No biggie, Okie. I saw one recently in at least 85% condition for only 3/4K.

That reminds me I have some interesting .30C items no one wants.

See, that's the part that I don't get. The little badger goes almost 2000fps, and to gain that other 325 the blackout probably uses three times the powder and 20,000 more psi. What's up with that??? Yes on the 110 grain bullets. Were yours carbine slugs? I'm thinking that the speer 110 hp would be good to but really wish it was a soft flat point. I'll bet that round is pretty flat shooting out to 150-200 yards.
re: Powder Useage - That's not really a concern to me with as little shooting as I do, but the extra speed and range are worth it to me. I'm using Hornady Vmax bullets. That should allow my dad to take small does and fawns out to 150 yards.

Plus, I can load these down to Badger level if I want and use a small charge of fast pistol powder. And the brass is easy to come by free because of the AR guys who blast a few boxes and leave it laying.

But it's not really a contest - they are all fun to tinker with. ;) (Did I tell you about my 30-223?)

I have a 30 blackhawk new model. bought it new bout 20-25 years ago. It's in the running for the most accurate pistol I own. On a good day I can shoot as small a group with it as I can with my 92s....at 100 yards!

Okie, that long 30/360 will fit in a carbines cylinder lengthwise at 1.750" And have .010" left over! A simple reaming and you could be well on your way to total deafness. That carbine pistol has to be one of the loudest guns ever made. And quite the fire works show with factory ammo in dim light.

GG,

Copying is all I'm doing. Not to much new in the bullet word. Just new ways to do the same thing. Nothing wrong with copying and improving a little. That's how things get better.

klr,

Not so much about the cost of the powder. Just wondering why it takes so much more to gain so little. I know 325 is really a big jump in velocity especially for such small case capacity. I guess a lot of it has to do with acceleration and drag too.

RD will probably remember this from his pilot training like I do. They taught us that to double the speed of an airplane, you would have to quadruple the horsepower :o OR reduce the drag by 25%. That's why duct tape is used in NASCAR, it really can make a 190 mph car go 200 if put in the right places!

So drag increases at the square of the speed. But I still want a 5000fps 22 long rifle

Some tracers, empty brass, a few factory loads. Friend sold his M1C (for too little, same guy that sold the 1914 1911) and gave this stuff to me to sell for him. No local takers.

Bad grip alert...

I found one for $550 a while back but skipped it 'cause that's still a lot of cash. 30C is just a swollen sped up loud and flashy .32WCF right?

Gas,
Ok, brass and bullets. I gots plenty of that already

"30C is just a swollen sped up loud and flashy .32WCF right?"
You done it now Gas! JUST a 32-20? Meaning.....what?

While the 32-20 (and 30C) are not hugely popular with a younger crowd, But the two are really great cartridges that deserve more credit.
The 32-20 in old guns has to stay down loaded. But I have a ruger buckeye 32-20 and in it it easily beats the 32 H&R magnum and can out do the 327. It has more case capacity than either, and with slow powders can get up there with the 357 with light bullets. The 30 carbine is almost the same size case, but that case is thick as a tanks armor shielding. The case is tapered so everybody hates it for a pistol cartridge since it has to use steel dies and lube. And it headspaces on the front of the case like an auto loader, which causes problems with reloading. But man that ruger will shoot. I keep thinking about getting another cylinder for mine and cambering it to 32-20 actually 30-20.....but 30/357 sounds even better, just saying. And 30/360 will fit with a frog hair of room left over. I bet that would be loud! A 300 blackout pistol?

Did you watch that video of the guy shooting 600 yards with his old Winchester in 32-20. That fellow is definitely a good shot, but the 32-20 did not hurt his chances in any way. Probably improved them some.
