Anyone interestd in doing a group hog hunt in Alabama?
I went to a nice facility last year, cost for two morning
and two evening hunts, meals and lodging, was $750.
Nice place, good food, nice people, plenty of hogs.

Hope you get a group up. A Rossi hunt would be really interesting!

I think it would be awesome but money and free time are things I'm scarce on maybe someday I'll get some wild pork like you guys.

It sounds interesting, and close enough to me that I would not have to drive to far. I have a couple of sons that I might could get to come along too. And I have never had wild hog before either.
Tell me more about it Lucky.

MrLucky, two of my son's are on board with the hunt. One called and checked and if we bring 7+ people, they drop the organizer (?) fee. That saves $108 off each person.
One has 3 shooting buddies that might be interested too. Picking a date that everyone agrees on will be the biggest problem.

It looks like it's a bit closer for you than myself, but a heck of a lot closer than Kansas! Yes, picking a date might be tough, but picking which 92 to bring is another issue.
Count me in.

233 miles for you and 216 for me. So that's really close to the same. My son Scott, will have to come from Charlotte, 514 miles! But he will probably spend some time with us since it's on the way there, and come the last leg of the trip riding with me. Then you and Carey could ride together. What about Kyle?
But yes, picking a caliber will be tough. I wanna know what each will do. I will be able to loan a couple to my two sons, so I will get to see how they do. Carey will most likely opt for the 357 since he seems to be recoil shy I let him shoot my 44 with 7.0gs of red dot and a 245 swc. That's a light load right? And that's how I had the box of bullets marked "LITE LOAD". After pulling the trigger on the first round, he looked at me and said "that is NOT light". But after shooting a few, he was hitting the metal plate out at the big pine in the far corner of his pasture 230 yards out. Son Scott has a Marlin 44 that he might want to use, but I bet I can talk him into using a rossi instead.
It does not seem like there is any interest in this hunt outside of us few, I wonder if it would get more interest if we put it in another section of the forum? I know I almost never look in this hunting section because I never hunt.
are you going to the launch this weekend?

I can take care of that by making it an announcement. A bit of a title change would help as well which I will handle. Also, I have not seen any dates mentioned. When is this going to take place?donhuff wrote:It does not seem like there is any interest in this hunt outside of us few, I wonder if it would get more interest if we put it in another section of the forum?
