Well, I like supporting very small businesses and their product ideas so I ordered up kits and materials from PatchWorm.

Not wanting to redirect for USCCA, I'm going to figure out a new topic title and split the relevant posts into a new topic.

Weed whacker string works pretty well. Tie a knot in one end, hit the knot lightly with a cigarette lighter, trim excess string from the knot and cut the other end of the string at an angle. Punch the angled end thru a cleaning patch and Voila! I carry one in my range bag and it comes in handy. It's not as versatile as the PatchWorm, but it works great in a pinch.

Very interesting, I suspect your idea better than mine, which is a weight on the end of a fish line, with a loop on the other end for a patch. I got plenty of trimmer string

The Patchworm thing looks cool.

I mostly use mine for .17 HMR and .22 LR. Your idea is probably better for bigger bores.

I think I'm going to have to go with these.
Won't eliminate the need for a good rod and a EMR field rod but should be good for a whole bunch of stuff.

I thought I would offer a report on the PatchWorm Kit; in a nutshell it is a great carry kit! I bought both a pistol & rifle kit and it is very handy and would fit just about anywhere. I also bought the bore light and it fits in the kit box as well. I was thinking I ought to get another light but as luck has it, a friend of mine sent me one! So, now I have two complete kits.

I took it out for a test run while doing some load work with a Taurus TCP. My initial work Unique was a bit hot so I experienced some leading. I think I was able to remove it with three passes. The light tube works great as well.
