My first attempt at cold bluing. I reblued the tang and receiver and touched up a few spots on the barrel.

I think all that is left is adding fiber optic sights, polishing the working parts, and lightening the trigger spring. later this summer or in the fall. Then I can call this one cosmetically done.

Looks nice good work cold blue in can be hard to get an even match between two areas of a gun but you did well. Thanks for keep us posted.

I hope my comment above didn't come off negetive . I meant I've never been able to be happy with cold blue. I'd be happy with how yours turned out. It looks good.

AK, your comment didn't come out rude at all, I knew what you meant... I have seen a lot of food blue jobs turn out horrifically wrong. I was very hesitant to even try it.

I have good success with cold blue, so long as I throw the instructions away, :D

i glanced over the instructions but found that my own method seamed to work pretty good.

I am having way too much fun shooting this little pea shooter. This winter I will be doing fiber optic sights and then call it finished for now.
