Re:Stage 1 update; Stage 2 questtions and repalnning
I am getting closer to the right color on the stock... My pan on sanding down the stock and applying the dark walnut stain seams to be working. In a few hours I plan on scuffing up the stock with steel wool and applying another coat of walnut stain... this time it should match.. I hope.
Now onto Stage 2:
I have decided for right now I don't want to try and reblue the whole gun, and I am not going to spot repair the bluing either. So I am going to turn my attention onto just smoothing out the action. My gogle fu has left me. I can't find any videos or tutorials on polising/smoothing out the action. Does any one have any good sources. I have only polished the action on my CZ75 clone, so while I have a little exprieince, I would like to know what others have done before me. Another question is about the trigger, any way to make it brake a little more "crisp"?

Great pics of your 62 parts
Your stock looks great
My bad I posted incorrectly they are not alike at all.
Lack of sleep thought you ask for 92 videos.

I have two old winchesters a 62 galley gun and a 62A. Both function fine but need refinished, but I kinda like the used look of them I may refinish the 62a and leave the galley as is. See what you did slim. You got me ready to start another project. Lol

I don't mind the worn look.. its the abused look that I can't stand... Sorry for giving you another project.. lol... personally don't feel too bad I gave myself another project in a few weeks... More on that later... Now back to the regularly scheduled program.akuser47 wrote:I have two old winchesters a 62 galley gun and a 62A.
