It is easy enough to try. I seen fellows not have it on and have the light strikes and then put it on and they don't. I've also read the opposite. They have it on and have light strikes so they remove it and they don't experience the strikes.

i took off n messed with allen screw under barrel and it fired a few of missedfire bullets .. and missed fire another 10 .... so who knows ... before i sent it off i did shoot .. 100 rounds of horndy .. and it never missed .... .. it would be nice if rossi jus did cash refunds

Just a out of box idea I shared on another thread if you reload. Use small pistol primers instead . They are softer so easier to go off. Just try at own risk and watch for pressure signs primer pushback.
