That is interesting ... and congratulations on the success.
So, lapping just that area made all the difference?

Can you give us a more detailed description of the scrubbing process?

Good morning
Nice rifle ! CZ does seem to have the knack for making them accurate.
Down here bought a CZ 308 about 15 years ago that has their "set trigger". Still the most accurate 308 I have ever owned. I would not hesitate to buy any CZ.

Yes, this has made all the difference. All I did was rub some jb bore paste into a patch and then scrub the first 100mm. I changed patches a few times and stopped when the patches stopped changing colour. This has gotten rid of all the lead that had built up just ahead of the chamber. Now a first cold barrel shot goes where it's being pointed. Before the first cold shot was easily 200mm off target at 50m. All I have to remember to do is clean it every 200-300 shots to stop the lead building up again. That's why it shot so well out of the box, no lead had built up, and then as I used it more it went pear shaped.
Rim fires can be finicky things, I have another cz, a 452 that I only clean once or twice a year.

OK .... so you were "cleaning" rather than "lapping". Makes sense.
