Haven't found the right girl at the right time.

Was seeing one lass who on going shooting looked at the guns I'd brought and mused 'I guess if you had to you could sell these if you got laid off or something...'

I bought the MKII Govt new in college. The other two MKIIs, the 17, the 41, the High Standard the 48 (yeah Mag vs LR) were all used guns acquired when the price was right. All but the 17 are in darned fine condition with only a few surface scratches.

Have missed out on the .22 Diamondback by the skin of my teeth a few times.

I started getting into .22s when the cost of a round of .22LR was the same as the cost of a ladyfinger firecracker. What's the point of paying that kind of money for a pop when you can have the pop plus a reaction on target?

NOW ammo is still scarce around here and the politicos, the panty wetters and the sheep want to ban any mention of any sort of weapon especially any firearm regardless of context.

Believe it or not I did answer the Dan Wesson question and a photo.
I wonder where it went. Oh well ...

Yes, it's a Model 14-2, .357mag with a four inch barrel.
DW 14-2.JPG
I purchased it new in Feb.1981. The suggested retail at the time was
$193 but I'm sure I paid less than that.

Kicking myself for not buying some of the interchangeable barrels but
who knew CZ would buy DW and discontinue wheel guns. I suppose that's
still the case ?

DW did a beautiful bluing and it's still pristine. More accurate than I am but
with single action I could stop a 500 lb 5 foot wide BG if he wasn't hi on the
hard stuff.

Now let's see where this post goes ???

Thanks for the photo Jaybm! That is another one of those guns I should have kept. I just read in a gun rag that CZ is releasing the Dan Wesson revolver again. Maybe there is hope for getting additional barrels/shrouds after all. (Of course they will probably cost as much as you paid for the whole gun back in 1981.) If I remember right, the one I saw in a gun magazine was stainless.
