Live round
In my tire of the dump truck I drive at work. Primer end out and worn down. Thought it was a bolt and grabbed on with a side cutter and pulled it out. At least it was a dud so far.

I don't know if the tire is totaled or not, but I bet it could have been if things lined up just right ... or just wrong.

Looks like a 223 Russian steel case round to me.

Mechanic at work today told me he was servicing one of our sheriff's deputys cars and he had a bunch of live rounds that they had picked up off some of our roads. Was a variety of cal. all beat up from being driven over. Now I know how I picked up a flat tire but why?
