oh, wow .... I'm in love with that 696. A solid .44 spl carry gun is on my very short list of wants.

I got out of the .380 game several years ago, and having had 6-7 different Kel Tecs over the years the only one left is a 2nd gen P32. Not quite as impotent as a .25 acp (I still have a lust for an original Belgian Baby Browning), but with several well placed shots it should at least make an attacker slow down. The P380 and P32 are excellent size for "boot guns". If my wife was a bit more receptive to the idea I would have her carrying no less than a 9mm, but can't seem to slow her down enough to spend the range time to experiment any more.

I always used to carry full size semi auto's, .45acp or 9mm. I didn't differentiate much. Whatever was handy. I even seriously carried a NAA in .22 mag. for awhile. Small, lightweight. Kel Tec came around and I got a P3AT. Carried and shot it quite a bit til it quit functioning properly. I had bought my lady friend a Kel Tec .32 and she liked it. When my .380 took a dump she got me the .32. Surprisingly enough I like it better for whatever reason. Carry it every day and everywhere whether I'm supposed to or not. Shot it more that the .380 and it is still chugging along. Good little pistol to maybe keep me upright.
