revolt

I am amazed that you Rossi folks don't revolt. Guns that don't work to billed performance? Parts that can't be obtained? I am late to the story but I do have an interest.
I purchased a 22/22mag revolver that is a delight. I like the 22 caliber and like the range of power involved within the 22 range. So, I started looking for a matching rifle and found the Rossi Circuit Judge 22/22mag. I was hot to trot to buy one and started looking at the reviews.
At first, the reviews were generic: Rossi is coming out with a neat new product, the product looks cool, etc. Walmart, Cebela's, Academy, and just about every major retailer started carrying the gun.
But then independent reviews started noting the shortcomings: the mag only shoots at half power, the 22 long rifle only shoots at 22 short power. Not good. Indeed, Cebela's and Academy reviews pretty much say it all--don't buy one. Soon after such reviews started showing up. Rossi discontinued the gun.
One reviewer on the web says that he wrote Rossi and wanted his money back; according to the reviewer he was told that the un operated as designed--end of story. I don't think we would take this kind of abuse from a domestic gun maker and I certainly don't think we should take it from a non-domestic producer.
Even after the reviews I still wanted a Rossi Circuit Judge 22. I thought that maybe I could buy a barrel from another model, re-cone the barrel and have the gun as it should be. That's when I found out that Rossi doesn't sell parts in the U.S. Outrageous.
I am really disappointed with this state of affairs. I thought the Rossi Circuit Judge was a conceptual masterpiece. Instead, it appears to be a flop. Even worse, the company does not appear willing to address the issue. It seems to me that a company with any integrity would initiate a recall and make the gun right.
Well, I got that out of my system and I feel better now. I hope I haven't offended anyone (other than Rossi).
