Rio grande 45-70 range time and a technical question.

Finally got my kit gun up and running :D . It really shoots well, but had a couple of light firing pin strikes and a couple of FTF's. Traced the problem to burrs where they cut the firing pin channel where the rear section of the firing pin is lifted and passes into the forward section of the channel(whew!). The only place I didn't polish and clean! Works fine now. I was getting 1@1/2" or slightly better groups at 100 yds. I think I can do better if I scope it. The leverevolution ammo is signicantly stouter than the 405 R-P rounds. Gonna start reloading soon.
Now for my question. Has any one tried the cross bolt safety replacement shown below on a Rossi? I don't like the looks of the safety and I'm thinking of replacing it with this. Thanks in advance.

I don't recall a post mentioning the work. Have you contacted the guy that sells these to ask?
