Thanks for the heads up.
Probably got enough of everything except maybe some large pistol.
They've been scarce in the local shops and $40+ per box when found.

Isn't there a "hasmat" fee for primers?

If I am right on that the price gets really wild with cost of primer, hasmat, shipping, etc!!!

Yes there is a hazmat fee for primers or powders.
The fee is per package NOT per 1000 so IF you are trying to buy a thousand you are better off buying locally.
IF on the other hand you are trying to buy several sleeves (5 thousand bundled together) then the Hazmat fee damps out.

I've heard some vendors will combine primers and powder shipments. I know others will only ship one or the other in a single package.

Mail order primers or powder is not for everyone. If you live in an area where you can just walk in to a LGS and pick up what you need than mail order will not be your best option. For those of us who live in rural areas that require driving long distance to get to the bigger stores the hazmat fee and shipping is cheaper and the product comes right to your door.

Even the large stores are limiting purchases so someone can not just walk in and clean them out. My LGS are an hours drive away to purchase limited amounts. For me when I look at fuel cost and time spent driving all over the place the fee and shipping is the best solution for me.

I do the same as AK, when I buy primers 5000 is the smallest order.

Same here, nothing available locally and a 75 mile round trip to buy what they want to sell me. I buy all my components online. I buy powder four 8 lb jugs at a time. That is one shipping container. Bought this way, even with shipping and hazmat, the powder cost less than half what a retailer charges for 1 lb.

I buy primers like the others, at least 5K at a time but more likely 20K at a time. The primers I bought this year through MidwayUSA actually cost less than they did four years ago.
