LGS Had a Couple in 44

Post by klr »

I stopped at my local gun shop and they had two 92s in 44 mag with 16" barrels. Man, that 16" barrel is nice. Short, light, handy. I was going to get a 20" in 357, but now I'm thinking about a 16" 45 with a scout scope. BTW, price was $486 for the 44s.

since some of y'all up in that part of the country are just now regaining the right to hunt with center fire pistol caliber long guns, I think that's where the bulk of the pistol caliber lever guns are going now. Our dealers aren't getting many now, and they generally have them priced closer to the $525 starting mark.
(and .357's are non-existent)

I hope us buckeyes can say this is law soon, No offense meant to others it all goes to what sellers have orders through the distributers. Rgardless of location the rossis I've seen have been on backorder by most so when they come good. If you want them make sure your retailers know it so they can put their orders in this the only way alot of big retailers have contracts that get filled as they come in from the boat. keep us posted.

If Ranch Dog Outdoors would have still been in business, I would have already ordered 100 R92s that I would have turned into Ohioan Whitetail Commemorates!

I was in a gunshop in south central KY in mid January. They had 3 used 92's, two .44's and a 45 for $480. But, I wanted the .357. I ordered it the next week from my reloader supply store at cost plus $15, plus shipping for a total of $498. I had it in a week. I know 2 months can make a big difference in the gun market.

I picked up a 16" blued .357 at a gun show in Indiana a couple weeks ago for $450. Sounded like they had more in their shop in Peru.
