RD's 444T Get's A Face Lift

I received my 444T back from Bose's Guns. Robert Bose has done some work for me in the past and I decided he was the fellow that I wanted to apply the proper finish. I went with a two tone blue, flat finish where it is needed and the rest a gloss blue. The wood was taken down and brought back with a rich oil finish.

Having shot just about everything that Marlin offered, I decided this was the rifle that I want to go the distance with. Kind of new that in the beginning but wanted to give them all a turn. Going to get the scope back on and sighted in. The rifle and I have a great history of hunting but the finish had was worn especially the Mar-Shield finish. When it lets go it is quite awful.

Congrats RD on a very well cared for gun that'll be droppin hogs and whitetails for many more years to come.
That is one attractive firearm & I can see why you're so fond of it.
I wish it was as easy to refurbish gun owners as it is guns.

being a 44 mag fan, I always wanted a 444, but will have to wait for a 45-70 and ranch hand first. I also want my 444 to have a straight stock and full lenght mag tube.

GOTTA LOVE A BIG BORE.

She's gorgeous! I finally got a .444, I need to get some pics taken. It's a custom gun by John Gallagher.

Very nice! I'm new to the .444 but snagged a dandy for my first one. It's a 1965 vintage that has had some custom work by John Gallagher, who is more well known for his Ruger single action work.
