Hi Michael and all,
My name is Snow and my alias is maroontoad, which is an in joke from the Queensland Rugby League Football Team.
I've been a lever Action competition shooter on and off since the late 1970's. I've owned many Marlins and several interesting Winchester 94 Angle Eject XTR's. I have recently put a deposit on a Rossi Model 175 24" Oct BBl in .357 Mag for Cowboy Silhouette. I've been a good customer of Michael's over the years and have the right bullet mould all sorted out.
I live in the desert, which over 100 miles from our nearest Rifle Range and at the geographic centre of Australia. If I want to hunt I have to drive either 1000 miles north or south, and I do this twice a year.
Cheers
Snow.
G'day from somewhere right of the middle of nowhere.

Greeting Snow and welcome to the forum! You have my interest up, what is Rossi Model 175?
That is a bit to drive for a hunt but I would do it as well!

Gotta do what you gotta do. I always bring back a chest freezer full of meat with me.Ranch Dog wrote:Greeting Snow and welcome to the forum! You have my interest up, what is Rossi Model 175?
It's the designation (don't know who's) for the Model 92 rifle with the 20" or 24" Octagonal Barrel.

These guys are our importers and this link is to their page with the Rossi model numbers. I've got no idea where they got them from though.

I see Prvi Partizan ammo advertised on the linked website which is the same brand RD used in his 7.62 x 39 Savage bolt action.
I see factory 264 Win Mag ammo advertised there which you don't see much of in North America.
